Medical Career College Of Northern California - About Us
The Medical Career College has served the Sacramento area as well as the Northern California area since 2003. The school was founded by Diane Morgan, CRT and Joan Lukkonen, RN/XT, and was originally located in Sacramento California. The first program offered by the school was Leg Podiatric. In 2005 the school added Torso-skeletal, Chest and Extremities to the original Leg Podiatric program. Because of the ever-evolving technology, Digital Imaging was added to the curriculum in 2006. In 2007 the school moved to its current location in Citrus Heights California.
The Medical Assisting Program was added to the list of programs offered in 2007 due to the fact that most of the jobs available to limited technicians require some medical office experience.
The Medical Career College received an approval from the California Department of Public Health/Radiologic Health Branch at it's onset in 2003. In addition, the school also holds an approval by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.
The school holds a National Accreditation by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools—ABHES—since 2007.
In addition, the school holds a membership in the California Association for X-ray Technicians (CASXT)
